Give yourself grace for falling off the wagon, but get back to it. I know, easier said than done. Here are a few ways to get yourself back on track.
Not only is it fun to be with your friends, but they can also help motivate and push you in your workout. They might have new moves to teach you or simply distract you from the negative thoughts that try to creep into your head telling you to quit. Plus, it’s harder to bail on a workout when you agree to meet up with someone rather than going by yourself and relying on your motivation alone.
If you’re struggling with negative thoughts and feelings toward working out, exercising outside can help. Exercising outside can increase your energy levels and positivity. A study showed that even 5 minutes of sweating outside increases your mood and self-esteem. Obviously, our favorite way to exercise outside is biking!
Plus, with an eBike, you are able to ride further and longer due to the pedal assistance feature. You can use your eBike for errands around town. You can get in a quick workout while doing things you were already planning on doing! Adjusting the assistance level allows you to decide how much of a workout you want to have.
Doing the same workout over and over can get boring, and you’ll eventually stop seeing results because your body is used to the exercises you are doing. Change up the type of exercise. In a week, maybe you do yoga, cycling, weight training, and a run. Keep yourself on your toes and challenge your body in new ways.

It might seem counterintuitive when you’re trying to start exercising again, but it’s important to give your body the chance to recover. You don’t want to overexert your sore muscles and cause an injury. However, rest days don’t mean you shouldn't move at all. Prepare your muscles for your next workout by going for a walk or doing some light stretching.
After taking a break from consistently exercising, you can’t expect yourself to start where you left off. You lost some of your progress, so you will need to decrease the amount of weight or resistance. Trying to pick up where you left off could cause injury and set you back even farther in your fitness goals. Plus, depending on how long your break has been, you might need a refresher on perfecting your form. Having the correct form is crucial to maximizing your results. Start with the basics, and work your way back up.
Workouts don’t need to be a full hour if you work efficiently. Research shows that 30 minutes of exercise can be as effective as a 60-minute workout at reducing weight and Body Mass Index (BMI). Plus, you will be more motivated to exercise when you know you can get some serious work done in half an hour. Combine two exercises into one to work efficiently. For example, add a bicep curl to a lunge to get a full-body workout.
